A little gun-powdery when first opened but very drinkable, it's best opened in the morning ready to drink in the evening (if you can wait that long! Well rounded with a smooth, mouth filling finish, it is a perfect accompaniment to most dishes, especially tomato-based Italian and red meats. With every round of this rich red its tastes will weigh in with new flavours, from ripe plum, blackberry jam and spice to a touch of vanilla, cinnamon, pepper and caramel. A touch of spicy oak and chocolate add extra depth while fine beads deliver a refreshing finish and give the wine excellent length.A versatile wine that goes well with most dishes, it's especially rewarding with tomato based Italian and spicy Asian food. This Shiraz has generous aromas of complex vanilla, clove and pepper spice that overlay raspberry and plum fruit.
