So, as we played and my son lost interest I quickly realized so many fatal flaws that seemed to doom the game.

The known theme allows other players to start guessing immediately, which turns out to be a big part of the fun.How perfect was that - pictionary but you create the object through legos rather than draw it out - added not onloy a 3D dimension to the game but more fun for the person creating the object to be guessed. Suitable for 3 to 8 players, the Creationary box also contains loads of LEGO bricks, a microfigure and a minifigure, game play cards and the innovative dice that can even be assembled in various different ways. The different levels allow everyone to feel challenged and it ‘evens’ out the age and ability levels. Roll the LEGO dice to select one of the four exciting building categories (Vehicles, Buildings, Natures or Things). Similar to the game Pictionary, players pick a card at random and attempt to build one of the objects pictured on it, using the customisable die to decide which one.

I must confess I am usually somewhat challenged when greeted by a big box of random LEGO, as I much prefer to build things from a set of instructions.The rules describe four different ways to play: one person builds and everyone else guesses, one person guesses and as many of four people build, two teams play simultaneously – each with one builder, and race to be the first to identify the object being built; and finally everybody plays as one team, racing against the clock – one player building, everyone guessing, seeing how many items they can identify before the time (whatever time they decide on) has elapsed. We recognize games that are innovative, easy to learn, fast to play, and fun players of all ages with the Major Fun Award. A great game for family and friends to test your imaginations, creativity, building and guessing skills to the extreme! Anything to do with LEGOs tends to be well received in our house, so this was a thoughtful holiday gift. I thought the game sounded like a great idea for a board game however it simply doesn't work as one.

In fact, a couple of mornings I have found him just playing with the pieces and building random items.
