About this deal

Only available from Audible, a gripping psychological thriller from the author of Silent Child, Saving April, and The Broken Ones. This bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other infamous strategists. She thought she was running to a friend, but instead ran straight into the hands of the Mannford brothers.

Well, this did not go as I thought it would, but you obviously have to read it if you want to keep up with the Constantine/Morelli world, and it’s not a complete wash; I just think it would have done better with more development so therefor as a trilogy. The police bring Judith, Suzie and Becks in to investigate as Civilian Advisors right from the start, so they have free rein to interview suspects and follow the evidence to their heart’s content, which is perfect because Judith has no time for rules and standard procedure. This book was a fantastic conclusion to this storyline, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dark, steamy, and a whole lot of crazy. Landry escaped with her sister from their life of hell with their father… running right into the triplets arms. Known as a harbinger of bad omens and blamed for Demons eating her family, Reia is shunned by her entire village. And when Emily begins her personal investigations, Detective-Constable Sam Wilner, a smart and attractive cop—with a crush on Emily that is not completely unrequited—begins to wonder if there’s more to Emily than meets the eye. He can’t stop talking about the tree house they’re building him, and the cookies they bake together.

This is an exclusive opportunity to hear comedy goddesses Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders doing what they do best: titting about and being funny, in their brand new comedy podcast series. As the result of clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, resilient problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back. This author excels in writing about characters you either love or hate and then mixing things up to make you question everything. As it was, though, this one was a great conclusion to an addictive duet (and a great addition to the story we were introduced to with Ash and Winston).

A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix's children's school.I was happy to see the suspense and unpredictability that was built-up in Triple Threat continued onto this book. I wasn't sold on Scout in book 1, but he really does a 180 in this sequel and proves how much he loves Landry.

I also like how despite the way Landry came to be there, it ends up being a safe place for her and her little sister and even psycho Scout can be a teddy bear at times. Unlimited listening to the Plus Catalogue - thousands of Audible Originals, podcasts and select audiobooks. I really wasn’t sure how I felt about the triplets after book one, but I really got on board with their brand of crazy in this one! The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. There’s entirely too much time dedicated to turmoil and conflict between the twins that it left very little to the growth of their relationship with Landry. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. I loved that they had grown up and that they had become these guys who saw what they did to Ash was wrong and I do believe that they grew to regret being so terrible. This conclusion to the Deception Duet picks up right where Triple Threat left off: with Landry and Della escaping from their abusive father, and landing in Ford's home only to discover Ford Mann is not one man, but actually the Mannford triplets.
