About this deal

People that talk smack about this frag are just brainwashed by all the niche fragrances out there, this is not supposed to be a new DNA, which may many think due to the concentration. After a few hours it still has that nice freshness, but with an added tonka note, which makes the smell very addictive. I'm in the South so only other bottle I have been reaching for is Gucci Guilty Black on weekend days, early evenings, Code Parfum brings me back to great memories of the OG Code. Strong yet sensitive, ARMANI CODE PARFUM reinvents the olfactory signature of the original ARMANI CODE fragrance. During the drydown (which happens very quickly) it emits a fizzy and boozy smell, sort of like an energy drink containing alcohol, but the latter is rather faint, so it doesn't become unpleasant.

The opening was A LOT fresher than I had anticipated, and that actually hangs around for a decent amount of time.

I purchased it from Fragrance Direct and I cannot recommend as I do notice their scents tend to be weaker. I love this DNA and I definitely smell the fizzy vanilla root beer float in this flanker that people describe, but on me this lasts half as long as absolu and doesn’t project as well.

It's a few years older, and about 10 times cheaper than the Armani, but very similar in scent profile. Opens up fresh Sweet with the apple and then becomes ambery tonka with touches of leather to refine the whole scent.

i will be definitely recommending this to everybody who asks for good fragrances, as someone with a sensitive nose and whose mom also has one i approve. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I could imagine this working well for someone who wants to throw on a bunch of sprays and hit the club, though.

I don’t want to be the guy who compares everything with Tonka in it to Eros, but Eros to me always smelled like a mint-based root beer. The opening reminds me a tiny bit of the Armani Code Parfum, as it is a part of the same family, but differentiates itself a lot from Code 2004 and Code Parfum as it transitions to the middle and base notes. I possibly went nose blind with this one, but in the dry down it smelled absolutely the same as The Dreamer. It’s not the Dior Homme Iris, it’s less sharp and I think it lends very well to its makeup as a whole. It's a lot more wearable day-to-day for me than other really sweet fragrances because of the powderiness and that deodorant feel to it.I usually like them too, Prada L'homme is my favorite, but it just doesn't go well with the Code DNA. It does have that iris/powder thing going which softens the whole thing a bit and makes it pleasant. UPDATE : I tested this again and my first impression was a little off but I guess I've more of a developed nose I would say despite the fact I'd use SWY in similar scenarios but Profumo is much louder attention grabbing fragrance. The Zara scent gets compared to Ultra Male all the time so the comparison to Code Profumo can get a bit lost in that.
